On August 30, 2025, the 240,000 TPY high-performance continuous polyether polyol project contracted by SupeZET for LianHongGeRun(Shandong) New Materials Co., Ltd. was successfully mechanically completed. This milestone marks the full conclusion of the construction phase and the official transition to production preparation.
LianHongGeRun’s integrated new energy materials and biodegradable materials project is a key provincial-level project in Shandong, with a total investment of 12.5 billion yuan and a site area of over 1,600 mu. The 240,000 TPY high-performance continuous polyether polyol plant constructed by SupeZET is a core part of this flagship project.
Adopting proprietary process technology developed by SupeZET, the plant uses propylene oxide and ethylene oxide produced by upstream units as raw materials, and double metal cyanide (DMC) as catalyst to manufacture high-performance polyether polyol products covering three major series: Soft Foam 330, CASE 220 and CASE 240.
Polyether polyol is one of the main raw materials for polyurethane production, widely used in home furnishing, automotive, construction materials and other sectors. The commissioning of this plant is strategically significant to alleviate the domestic shortage of high-end polyether supply and strengthen the industrial chain’s self-sufficiency and controllability.
The project officially started construction in 2024 and achieved mechanical completion on August 30, 2025, under a tight construction schedule. Faced with challenges including large scale, compressed timeline and extensive cross-operation, the SupeZET project team gave full play to the integrated advantages of EPC general contracting covering engineering, procurement and construction. It collaborated closely with all participating parties to overcome complex construction conditions, tight deadlines and multiple difficulties.
